Project Submission

The GOLD Genome & Metagenome Project Submission files allows you to submit information on complete or ongoing sequencing projects in GOLD.

Metadata collected for the sequencing projects complies with the Genomic Standards Consortium MIGS/MIMS minimum information requirements.

After you have specified a project in GOLD, you can submit your microbial genome and metagenome sequences for inclusion into IMG ER and IMG/M ER , respectively. These systems will provide you password protected access to your datasets while allowing you to analyze and annotate them in the rich comparative context of publicly available genomes and metagenomes.

GOLD - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What do I submit in GOLD?
A: - You are submitting only the information related to the Sequencing Project and any available metadata related to that
  • Q: Do I submit any sequences in GOLD?
A: - No, GOLD does not contain any sequence data, it contains only the information about the project
  • Q: What do i gain by submitting my project to GOLD?
A: - GOLD is currently the largest repository for genome project information world-wide. The accurate and efficient genome project tracking is a vital criterion for launching new genome sequencing projects, and for avoiding significant overlap between various sequencing efforts and centers.
